In the hush of the morning, while daylight is forming

On Christmas Day

The forest is quiet, the fields are silent

Then far away

Dulcet tones rejoicing

Hear them call, inviting all

To welcome Christ our King

Each voice is proclaiming the birth of our Lord

The bells on Christmas Day

A crystalline chorus, they sing to assure us

That on this day

God’s only Son, Jesus, was sent here to lead us

To faith and grace
